This year we organised ‘Governors Day’ slightly differently our annual visit from governors.
Governors spent time visiting classrooms to monitor provision across the whole school.
Governors were particularly impressed with the opportunity to view a wide variety of subjects across the school including teaching and learning in class 3 with our new teacher. This is invaluable experience in order to challenge leaders on school organisation and provision.
Governors particularly commented on pupil behaviour for learning and how all staff skills and talents are utilised supporting both the more able and the pupils requiring extra support across the school.
Governors also had the opportunity to speak to pupils at break times, where they monitored strong systems to support pupil welfare and safety. They were also very impressed with our School Council who provided valuable insights into the life of the school for our pupils evidencing pupil voice being a key strength.
